So her sound isn’t as harsh as it used to be. I still love her. She’s herself and doesn’t care what you think. I will admit the first album I bought was her last one, the one produced by Avril Lavigne’s peeps. It is the most mainstream of her albums so far, but the sound is clear and she keeps within her range. It led me to buy “Whip-smart”, and some of her older stuff is harder and courser.
Her new album doesn’t come out until October, but the NY Times has an article about her changing styles and recent acoustic concert series.
